Description
ATLAS 0441 HIA meets the conditions for impedance measurements of coatings according to PN-EN ISO 16773-1:2007 and PN-EN ISO 16773-2:2007. The standard has been in force in Poland since May 25, 2007.
The analyzer is designed to measure the impedance spectra of two-terminal elements and systems, and in particular to monitor and diagnose the quality of anti-corrosion coatings in laboratory and field conditions. The shape of the impedance spectrum and its values are parameters characterizing the properties of materials and coatings. Analysis of the impedance spectrum gives information about the properties of such materials as metals, dielectrics, batteries and cells, composites, polymers, concrete mixtures, ceramics, semiconductors and many others.
More and more, impedance spectroscopy is used in biology and medicine, where it is used in the study of plant and animal physiology, as well as in organ transplantation, dermatological research and cancer recognition.
The ATLAS 0441 HIA analyzer was implemented in the form of a virtual instrument. It consists of a small-sized measuring block, easy to carry and install on a research stand, connected by a USB interface with a PC.
The computer is used to program the parameters of the measurement experiment and record the results. In laboratory and field work, the computer can follow the measurement process and visualize the obtained measurement results. The results saved in the computer’s memory can be transferred to other graphic and analytical programs.
